But from your point of view you should bear in mind that just as with any other profession where you are putting a lot of responsibility on the person's shoulders there are qualified and unqualified ones. I am a properly qualified one as i asked experts to test me years ago and as a result a lot of journalists and my peers tested me and decreed I truly am genuine and good at this, not deluded and not pretending. You are putting a great deal of responsibility on someone's shoulders when you ask them to solve a problem or tell you about your life so you ought to be sure they are able to do it right.
The good ones are not going to sit up all night by the phone praying it rights. They do not need to, they get more than enough offers to work during normal hours. Likewise if they worked cheap people would take advantage of them and they would already be so fully booked they would not have time for you, because they would be really popular. I used to get hoards of people just turn up on my doorstep thinking that if I opened the door to them I then had to stand there for ages working for free. It was only when I introduced payment that they thought twice about taking my time.
