Hullo, I’m Astrologer Patrick Arundell, and here is your Astrology Overview for WC 16th October 2017. The week begins with a very Libra set of influences. However the emphasis soon starts to change when on Tuesday Mercury moves into the deep and penetrative sign of Scorpio. If ever there was an opportunity to do some research, think about our motivations, gain greater personal knowledge or unlock any mysteries, the next 3 weeks is it. However Mercury also immediately combines with the planet of fortune Jupiter, newly arrived in this sector too and we have a window of opportunity for the next few days to use their joint energy positively. One way we can do this is through business activities marshalling our long term or joint finances more effectively.
This is a week though, which sees Uranus very prominent. This is the planet of freedom, but also of restlessness and independence, and ever since 2011, on a full-time basis it is been in the more direct and impulsive sign of Aries. Now, all through this week Uranus is forging a link with Mars, the ruler of Aries, but Mars currently occupies an area which is very much to do with sacrifice and doing what's right by others as opposed to doing what's right for ourselves. So, this is a week where we may find that we do have to trade some personal desires in order to keep an equilibrium with anyone else we are closely involved with.
Thursday also sees the New Moon in the sign of Libra, which ordinarily would be a great portent for an improvement in all sorts of relationships but this year, this New Moon is in opposition to Uranus. This suggests that around relationships things can be random to say the least. Situations which have seemed to be quite settled can suddenly be anything but, and if there has been too much deferential behaviour, or conversely too much assertive behaviour some kind of new balance will need to be found within relationships. If you're single however, this could be quite a dramatic lunation and bring someone into your world in the next month who can be challenging but also very exciting to be with.
