A while ago I sat in my lounge alone with the dog and asked the spirit world to make themselves known to me. I didnt see or hear anything but the dog looked at the doorway and began to bark like he would with an intruder. Then he winced and hid behind the coffee table, pocking his head up to check the door way and looking really scared. Very unusual behaviour for him as he usually continues to bark at intruders. I walked through the door way but felt nothing but even though I offered the dog food he refused to follow me which again is very unusual. Food usually over rules all other things for him. I asked the spirit to leave as he was frightening the dog and instantly the dog recovered, followed me to get his tea.

I wonder why he was scared? Someone told me that dogs often bark like that at Guardian angels but accept other spirit forms. Can others confirm or explain further?

Hi Sally! Funny how you wrote this on independence day! Glad you are getting results. The first steps are the start of a whole new journey and can leave us with some great memories! Learning and becoming aware of our spiritual side and path is an exciting time, but there are many pit fulls. an eye on proceedings, then ask for your loved ones to step forward. Remember that spirit have free will, so you may or may not be aware of any sign, but it would help if your trust your higher senses. We are often visited by our loved ones, not always to our knowing!

Be careful of what you ask! As with the Ouiji board, just asking spirit to come forward does not necessarily mean ones loved ones or guides are the only ones to answer a call. I would say that your pet would be very receptive to the energy levels of a visitor. Could I suggest that if you try this again, firstly light a candle, say a prayer for protection, asking that any malevelont spirits are kept away from you, ask for your guardian angel to come forward to keep
