Very often we can be so caught up in every day moments that we forget to realise what we’re actually here for! We may have a deep calling within us to do certain things, yet the quiet inner whisper of our higher self has been forgotten because of our louder more controlling ego voice.
Your ego voice may create feelings of inadequacy, lack of time, lack of confidence etc, in order to hold you back from embracing new experiences and therefore your life purpose. This is part of being human and all part of the challenges we face being incarnated in a human body. This can be completely overcome though, through developing understanding and awareness of your higher self. You can start to bring your higher self back into your life and when you do you’ll start to embrace the abundance, flow of life and inner gifts which your higher self wants to bring through to you. To start dissolving the control of the ego voice and embracing your higher self, start with a few moments of quiet every day. This doesn’t have to be an hour or even half an hour to start with, even a few minutes of your day can create wonderful changes within you and help you discover this connection. When you take this time out, try to schedule it into part of your daily routine until it becomes a habit, and then you can start to gradually increase the time until it’s at a length which suits your lifestyle.
Find somewhere quiet where you won’t be disturbed, find a comfortable position and close your eyes, breathe deeply and feel as your whole body relaxes. Imagine a golden light passing through the top of your head, going all the way through the core of your being and passing out through your feet into the floor. Imagine that this beautiful beam of light is cleansing your whole body, mind and soul from all negative energies and filling you up with life force energy. As you relax in this golden light, just focus on your inner self and the complete and utter stillness which is within this inner self. If any thoughts come into your mind, acknowledge them and then let them go, as if they’re just clouds drifting in the sky. Keep bringing your attention back to your inner stillness. It’s as simple as that!
You’ll find that as you do this more and more, you become aware of your intuition such as deep feelings within your spirit which will help guide you, make decisions and create inspirational ideas for you. If you have a decision you need to make, take a few minutes to connect with your spirit and ask deep within in you “How does this feel for my inner spirit?” wait for any feelings, sensations or a knowingness and this can help guide you in choosing the correct pathway.
You may also want to surround your body with a golden bubble; this will help protect you from other’s negative emotions and will also help you maintain your energy levels without them being drained. Always remember that you're not a human body with a spirit but an eternal spirit who is having a human experience for a while.
